VALLEJO, CA - On February 4, 2024, at approximately 4:30 PM, the Vallejo Police 

Department responded to a call for service regarding a shooting near the intersection of Bonnie Way and Melody Lane.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound and provided medical aid until medical personnel arrived. Unfortunately, the male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division took over the investigation and identified Ethan Menefee, a 26-year-old resident of Vallejo, as the suspect responsible for this homicide. The Solano County District Attorney's Office issued an arrest warrant for Ethan Menefee based on the evidence presented by the detectives.

On April 17, 2024, Ethan Menefee came to the Vallejo Police Department and voluntarily surrendered himself to the police. Ethan Menefee was subsequently booked into Solano County Jail on his arrest warrant.
