File a Police Report Online

The Citizens Online Police Reporting System lets you submit a report immediately and print a free copy once it's approved. Review the questions below to see if filing online is right for your situation.

If this is an emergency, call 9-1-1. Online filing is only for non-emergency incidents that meet the criteria below. If you answer "no" to any question in the first section, call the police department at (707) 552-3285 for further direction.

Is online reporting right for me?

Confirm all four of the following before filing online:

  • This is not an emergency
  • The incident occurred within Vallejo city limits
  • There are no known suspects
  • This did not occur on a state freeway

What happens after I submit my report?
  • You'll see a confirmation message: "Your online police report has been submitted."
  • You'll be given an online report tracking number.
  • You'll be able to print a copy of the report once it's approved, to keep for your records.
What should I know before filing?
  • All cases filed through the Citizens Online Police Reporting System are reviewed.
  • If further investigation is needed, you may be contacted.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
