Vallejo PD Investigates the Murder of a 24-Year-Old Transient Woman

On November 15, 2020, at approximately 9:38 a.m., Vallejo Police Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive female on Derr St. just south of Lemon St.

Upon arrival, officers located a female victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Vallejo Fire Department also responded and a paramedic declared the victim deceased. Detectives were called and this case is being investigated as a homicide. The woman was a 24-year-old transient of Vallejo.

This is the City of Vallejo’s 25th murder of 2020.

"All lives have inherent dignity and value and should never be needlessly taken," Vallejo Chief of Police Shawny Williams stated. "Our unhoused population deserves our deepest compassion, service and protection. We will tenaciously pursue justice In this case."
