Make a Difference, Starting in Your Neighborhood: Vallejo PD Seeks Community Leaders to Help Keep Vallejo Safe
Posted on 12/28/2021

Mailbox theft, bicycles stolen from front yards, car break-ins. These are crimes that frustrate and anger our community, but there is something we can all do to prevent them. The Vallejo Police Department is calling on Vallejo residents to make a difference by working with your neighbors.

“If you see something, say something,” said Vallejo Chief of Police Shawny K. Williams. “The best eyes and ears in our neighborhoods are the people who live there. We can all make an impact by working together.”

The Vallejo PD wants residents to strengthen our Neighborhood Watch Program (NWP), which is a proven way to fight crime. The NWP provides a platform and structure for neighbors to connect, share information, and learn about the latest crime trends from Vallejo PD.

Follow these easy steps to get started:

VPD Invites Residents to Join Neighborhood Watch Program

As a registered NWP group, residents will be provided information by the Vallejo PD Community Services Section on how to get started. You’ll learn how to identify, document, and report crimes to our department without confronting suspected individuals. We will also provide safety tips and give you the latest information on crime trends. In our social media driven world, we also suggest that you download and register on the Nextdoor app to find out what is happening in your neighborhood.

Help us revamp the NWP! Let’s work together to make a difference and create a better Vallejo.
