Vallejo PD Seeks Public's Help Identifying Suspect(s) in August 2020 Double Homicide of Joacko Williams, Jr. and Rahel Blackmon

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 More information has become available in the ongoing investigation of the August 2020 double-homicide leaving a young couple deceased and their infant child shot and injured.


At the time of the incident, 25-year-old Joacko Williams Jr. and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Rahel Blackmon were sitting in their vehicle with their infant son in the backseat when a vehicle pulled up and began shooting into the vehicle. The infant was the sole survivor.

We are now asking the public to view the below footage of what we believe to be the suspect vehicle. The vehicle may be a 2014-2018 Honda Accord. We are asking anyone with information to come forward to help solve this case.

"This tragic incident has left another child without their parents and we cannot allow this vicious cycle to continue," Chief of Police Shawny Williams stated. "We need your help and must work as a community to help heal generations of trauma and bring justice in this case."

Vallejo PD Investigates August 20th Double-Murder incident at Trinity and Louisiana Streets

On August 20, 2020 at approximately 07:30 PM, Vallejo patrol officers responded to the report of a shooting at the corner of Trinity and Louisiana Streets.

Upon arrival, officers located two unresponsive victims seated inside a vehicle, each suffering from at least one gunshot wound. A one-year-old infant male was also located inside of the vehicle and had been struck by gunshots. The infant was immediately transported to a local hospital with series injuries.

Medical personnel and the Vallejo Fire Department were dispatched and pronounced the adult victims deceased at the scene. The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded to take over the investigation. 

The victims have been identified as a 25-year-old male and adult female in her twenties. Both victims were Vallejo residents. The names of the victims are being withheld pending identification and next of kin notification by the Solano County Coroner’s Office. 

This is the City of Vallejo’s 18th and 19th murder.
