Jerome Bautista

 

Lieutenant Jerome Bautista began his career with the Vallejo Police Department as a Cadet, serving from 1998-2000 before being hired as a police officer in the Fall of 2000. Throughout the years, Lt. Bautista has served in various capacities including being assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit from 2005-2007, serving as a Cal-MMET Narcotics Detective from 2007-2011 and Patrol Officer from 2012-2015. 

In the summer of 2015, Lt. Bautista was promoted to Corporal in the Patrol Division. In 2016, he was assigned to Investigations as a Detective and was later promoted to Sergeant in the same year. From 2018-2020, Lt. Bautista served as a Crime Reduction Team (CRT) Sergeant and was promoted to Patrol Division Lieutenant in January 2021. 

Lt. Bautista has also held assignments as a Field Training Officer, EVOC Instructor, and member of the VPD Recruitment Team. Lt. Bautista holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.
